Pre-school’s income
The preschool is a non-profit organisation. All income is used to benefit the preschool’s
children. Our income comes from four
sources:
ü Government
Subsidy – This covers about 50% of our costs.
ü Fees – This covers
everyday running costs such as: water, electricity, rates, craft supplies,
maintenance, stationery, cleaning, milk, and a proportion of staff wages. Without fees we would have to close our doors
permanently.
ü Fund Raising – This is
essential for purchasing new toys, equipment, books. It is also vital for building upgrades and
general improvements.
ü Grants – At times the
Management Committee is fortunate enough
to receive grants from Government, Council or business organisations. These enable us to purchase new equipment
(i.e. fridges (Coastline Credit Union),
Nappy Change Table for special needs children (ANZ Bank)
